E-Stim Systems E-Bead 2.0 – Large
The E-Bead 2.0 is a rather different sort of insertable electrode. It has no conventional neck or flared base; instead, it features two beautifully machined metal beads separated by a rigid insulating section. You can use it partially inserted to concentrate the sensation around the opening, or fully inserted for a deeper, more enveloping experience.
Created by E-Stim Systems in collaboration with Mr S Leather, the E-Bead takes the shape of the original Mr S design and turns its two beads into the separate poles of a bipolar electrode. Both sections are made from aircraft-grade aluminium and finished with E-Stim Systems’ smooth satin surface.
The contrasting shapes of the two beads give the electrode a distinctive feel even before the power box is switched on. Once connected, current passes between the two metal sections through the surrounding tissue. Used partially inserted, with one bead inside and the other outside, the sensation is focused around the opening. Pulsing programmes can also encourage the muscles to contract around it, creating the little twitching or tugging movement the E-Bead is known for.
Insert it fully, and the sensation moves deeper inside. This is where the E-Bead really separates itself from a conventional butt-plug electrode, although full insertion also requires confidence and experience with toys specifically designed to be used in this way.
A built-in 1.5-metre cable exits directly from the electrode and ends in a right-angled 3.5mm mono jack plug. It connects directly to E-Stim Systems control boxes without another cable, and no bulky plugs or sockets protrude from the electrode itself. An adaptor will be required for control boxes which use different connections.
Small or Large?
The Small E-Bead measures 32mm at its widest point. That makes it the more manageable choice and the one we would suggest if you are new to the E-Bead design. Do not let the word “Small” fool you, though: at 96mm long and 165g, it is still a substantial solid-metal electrode.
The Large steps up to 38mm in diameter, 124mm long and 292g. That is nearly twice the weight of the Small and provides considerably more length as well as additional girth. It is intended for experienced users who already know that they are comfortable with larger, fully insertable toys.
If you are undecided, choose the Small. The Large is not simply the same experience turned up a notch; the extra 28mm of length and 127g of weight make it a meaningfully bigger proposition.

Important information about insertion and removal
The E-Bead does not have a flared base. It has been deliberately designed so that it can be inserted completely, but this makes it best suited to someone who is already confident with full-length insertable toys.
The attached cable is an electrical connection, not a retrieval cord. Never pull on the cable to remove the electrode, as this could damage the cable or its internal connection. If using the E-Bead fully inserted, make sure you are comfortable removing this type of toy by relaxing and gently bearing down before you begin.
Apply plenty of water-based lubricant to the electrode before insertion. This makes insertion easier and helps provide good electrical contact. Do not use silicone or hybrid lubricants.
Cleaning your E-Bead
Switch off and disconnect your control box before cleaning. The E-Bead contains a permanently attached cable, so it must not be submerged, boiled or dismantled.
Clean the metal surfaces with warm water and a small amount of mild, fragrance-free soap, a suitable toy cleaner or a medical-grade cleaning wipe. Take care around the join between the electrode and cable, and do not allow water to run down the cable into the electrode.
Remove any remaining cleaner with a damp cloth and dry the electrode thoroughly before returning it to its storage tube. Avoid caustic or strongly alkaline cleaning products.
