We have two rather special new arrivals at E-Stim Emporium: the E-Bead 2.0 and E-WMCBP 2.0 from E-Stim Systems.
Both electrodes began life as designs from San Francisco’s Mr S Leather before being reworked in metal by E-Stim Systems here in the UK. Until recently, their availability was restricted to a relatively limited market. That has now changed, and we are delighted to be stocking both designs in two sizes.
The E-Bead 2.0 is available in Small and Large, while the E-WMCBP 2.0 comes in Medium and Large.
These are not simply metal copies of existing toys with a cable attached. Each one has been redesigned as a proper bipolar e-stim electrode, with two conductive sections separated by an insulator. They also offer two quite different styles of play.
An American design with a British electrical education
The collaboration between E-Stim Systems and Mr S Leather goes back to 2017, when Mr S approached E-Stim Systems with an interesting question: could two of its popular designs be turned into e-stim electrodes?
It was a very good match.
Mr S Leather brought decades of experience making gear that people genuinely enjoy using. E-Stim Systems brought its knowledge of electrode construction, electrical separation and the little practical details that make an e-stim product work properly.
The results were the E-Bead and the gloriously named Electrified World’s Most Comfortable Butt Plug, mercifully shortened to E-WMCBP.
Nearly a decade later, both designs have been updated and are now more widely available. They are machined from solid aircraft-grade alloy, have a smooth satin finish and feel every bit as substantial as their appearance suggests.
There is a reassuring sense of quality here. These are weighty, carefully finished electrodes made to last for years rather than be replaced when a coating starts to wear away.
E-Bead 2.0: two beads and two ways to use it
The E-Bead 2.0 consists of two rounded metal beads separated by a rigid black insulator. The two beads form the separate poles of the electrode, creating a current path between them.
It can be used partially inserted, with one bead inside and one remaining outside. In this position, the sensation is concentrated around the opening. Pulsing programmes can produce noticeable muscle contractions and the twitching, tugging movement for which the E-Bead is known.
Experienced users can also insert both beads, moving the sensation deeper inside. This is a very different experience from using a conventional plug-shaped electrode.
The E-Bead has a permanently attached cable approximately 1.5 metres long, terminating in a right-angled 3.5mm mono jack plug. It connects directly to E-Stim Systems power boxes, while other connection types may require an adaptor.

There are two sizes:
-
Small E-Bead 2.0: 32mm diameter, 96mm long and 165g
-
Large E-Bead 2.0: 38mm diameter, 124mm long and 292g
The Small is our choice if you are trying the E-Bead design for the first time. It is still a solid and reasonably substantial electrode, but it is considerably more manageable than the Large.
The Large is both longer and nearly twice the weight. It is intended for experienced users who already know that they enjoy bigger insertables. This is one of those occasions when buying the largest option simply because it is there may not be the wisest plan.
A particularly important note about the E-Bead
The E-Bead has no flared base because it is designed to allow full insertion. The attached cable is an electrical connection and can be used as a retrieval cord.
Before using it fully inserted, make sure you are comfortable removing this style of toy by relaxing and bearing down gently. If you have any doubt, use it partially inserted instead. It still works extremely well in that position and produces a more concentrated sensation around the opening.
E-WMCBP 2.0: a more familiar shape with an unusual electrical split
The E-WMCBP looks more like a traditional butt plug, although a particularly handsome and reassuringly heavy one.
Its faceted head helps with gradual insertion, while the slim neck allows it to settle securely into place. A broad, slightly angled base prevents full insertion and provides something solid to hold during insertion and removal.
The clever part is hidden in the construction. Many bipolar metal electrodes are divided vertically into left and right sides. The E-WMCBP is split between its upper and lower sections instead.
This positions one electrical contact deeper than the other, encouraging the sensation to travel along the length of the plug. Pulsing programmes can feel particularly effective with this arrangement, producing a sense of movement that is quite different from that of a conventionally split electrode.
Two 4mm sockets are fitted into the base: one underneath and another in the rim. The side-facing connection is useful with a low-profile cable, as it avoids having a plug sticking straight out beneath the electrode.

It is available in two sizes:
-
Medium E-WMCBP 2.0: 38mm diameter, 105mm insertable length and 275g
-
Large E-WMCBP 2.0: 44mm diameter, 118mm insertable length and 384g
We would describe the Medium as the more approachable version, but certainly not as a small beginner’s plug. The Large offers noticeably more girth, length and weight and is best left to people already comfortable with insertables around 44mm in diameter.
Unlike the E-Bead, the E-WMCBP requires a suitable two-pole cable with 4mm plugs.
Which one should you choose?
Choose the E-Bead 2.0 if you want a more unusual electrode that can be used in two positions. Partially inserted, it focuses the sensation around the opening; fully inserted, it produces deeper stimulation between its two metal beads.
Choose the E-WMCBP 2.0 if you prefer the security and familiarity of a flared-base plug. Its upper-to-lower electrical split still feels different from an ordinary bipolar electrode, but insertion and removal will feel more familiar.
Whichever design you prefer, choose the size according to the toys you already use comfortably. Measurements are far more useful than labels such as Small, Medium and Large. Compare the stated diameter and insertable length with something you already own rather than making an optimistic guess.
A metal electrode also feels less forgiving than a flexible toy of the same diameter, so allow for that when choosing.
A few tips before switching on
Metal electrodes can feel cold when you first pick them up. Warming the electrode in your hands or in warm water before use makes the introduction rather less startling. Make sure it is dry before connecting it to your power box.
Use a generous amount of water-based lubricant. As well as making insertion easier, water-based lube helps maintain good electrical contact. Do not use silicone or hybrid lubricants with these electrodes.
Insert the electrode and make sure it is sitting comfortably before connecting or raising the power. Begin with the controls at zero and increase the intensity slowly. Good contact and a little patience generally produce a much better experience than immediately reaching for more power.
After use, switch off and disconnect everything before cleaning.
The E-WMCBP can be dismantled so its separate parts can be cleaned thoroughly and allowed to dry before reassembly. The E-Bead has a captive cable and must not be dismantled, submerged or boiled. Clean it carefully with warm water and mild soap, a suitable toy cleaner or a medical-grade cleaning wipe, keeping water away from the cable entry point.
Now available at E-Stim Emporium
We are genuinely pleased to add these electrodes to our range. They combine two well-established Mr S Leather designs with the manufacturing quality and e-stim experience we have come to expect from E-Stim Systems.
They are beautifully made, reassuringly solid and sufficiently different from one another to justify rather more than a quick glance.
The E-Bead 2.0 in Small and Large and the E-WMCBP 2.0 in Medium and Large are available now from E-Stim Emporium.
