From today, E-Stim Emporium will no longer be shipping orders to customers in the European Union.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly. The new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) creates a level of packaging compliance that, for a small independent business like ours, is not currently workable. As we understand the rules, we would need to register in each EU member state and appoint an authorised representative in each state to continue shipping into the EU legally and responsibly.
For a large company, that may be an administrative headache. For a business our size, it is simply too much cost and complexity to take on in a sensible way.
We do not want to make promises we cannot keep, and we do not want to continue shipping to the EU while the compliance position is unclear or financially unrealistic. Because of that, we have decided to pause EU shipping rather than risk getting it wrong.
This may not be permanent. If the regulatory position changes, or if we find a practical solution that does not cost more than 1,000 euros per EU member state, we will review the situation and reconsider whether EU shipping can resume.
To all of our previous customers within the EU: thank you. Your support, patience and encouragement over the years have meant a great deal to us, and we are genuinely sorry to be making this change. We know this will be disappointing, and we do not make this announcement lightly.
For now, this pause applies only to shipments into EU member states. We will share any future updates as soon as we have them.
